Carol Carman’s Writing Club Prompt: B is for Breakfast

There’s a breakfast table.

Now, there are so many options for you here:

Who’s at the table? Is it you – and by you, I mean your character. Doesn’t have to be you personally – you can be anybody you want in creative writing.  So, who’s at the table – if anybody? If there’s a character that you wrote about in your ‘apple’ piece, why not use them and put them at the table?

Who else is there? Do you know them, or are they strangers? Are they people you do know, but they’re like strangers this morning?

Where is it? On land, at sea, in the air? If on land, where is it in the world? Is it indoors or outdoors?

What happened the night before?

What happens over breakfast?

Choose a narrative voice and write your story or poem – sparked off by ‘breakfast’.
